In Singapore, there are 5 dialect groups – Cantonese, Teochew, Hakka, Hainanese and Hokkien.
Cantonese and Teochew origin mainly come from the Guangdong province; on the other hand, Hakka origin are from the Guangdong province and Fujian province. Hainanese origin come from the Hainan province, while Hokkien origin come from the Fujian province.
